Trace's First Letter

Trace arrived at the MTC 10/26. His first letter arrived via snail mail. Here is part:

"Hello all! I got to write a letter to you guys telling you that I'm okay. I reported to the MTC fine, and have already met a bunch of people, gotten my awesome name tag, and even started practicing Spanish! I also found out that my release date from Provo is scheduled to be Nov 16th.

My companion, Elder Shintaku is an awesom guy. He's from Arizona (woo!) and went to ASU. He's 25, so he is realy mature, which definitely fits me well. We're getting along great already.

Anyway, I'm doing great, minus the fact that it's COLD! My p-day in Provo will be Thursday.

How to contact Elder Levos

Elder Levos absolutely loves to get mail! There are three ways to contact him while he is in Peru:

1. http://www.dearelder.com/

This is the easier way, and it works basically as an email. Simply type in the web address, and on the front page choose the drop-down menu that says "Select mission". Select the Peru, Trujillo mission, and then choose to "write a letter". On the next page, type in your contact information, and specify the recipient of the letter to be Elder Trace Levos. This will be printed out and mailed to Peru through the pouch system, at no expense to you.

2. Written letters

Elder Levos can recieve written letters, though they have to be sent through the pouch system. This system involves no envelopes, and has to be done in a specific manner. After writing the letter (use computer paper, notebook paper will not process, no photos allowed), lay it blank side down. Fold the bottom of the letter about one-third of the way up the page and crease. Fold the top of the letter to the bottom of the first fold and crease. Secure the long side with two pieces of tape about one inch from each end, but do not seal the ends. In the top left corner write your name and complete return address. Affix first class postage in the top right corner. In the middle write the missionary address as follows:

3. Mailing packages

Elder Levos can receive packages at the mission home in Peru. If sending through a private courier, the telephone number is 51 44-291-543. Send them to the following address:

You can also send normal mail (letters in envelopes, cards, pictures) to the above address.
